Kazuaki Washimi has been the director at the Bank of Japan's Financial Markets Department since June 2018, covering broad areas of financial market analysis including big data analysis in finance. He joined the Bank in 2006 and held several positions including a secondment to the International Monetary Fund. He has a BA in Economics from University of Tokyo and MPA/ID from Harvard University.
