In 1991, graduated from Hitotsubashi University with a degree in economics and joined MUFG Bank (ex. The Mitsubishi Bank). His career at the Bank includes: General Manager of Los Angels Branch of MUFG Union Bank, General Manager of Global Planning Division, and Head of Corporate Planning Division. From 2023, he serves as Group Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group after the role of Group Chief Operation Officer-International (COO-I) in 2022. He holds MBA in MIT Sloan.
