Masayuki Kazato serves as the Head of Digital Transformation Studies Group at the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies, Bank of Japan, since the group's establishment in July 2023. He joined Project Ellipse, a suptech project in the BIS Innovation Hub since June 2022. As the head of the youngest group in the bank, he conducts studies on new technologies with a view to enhancing the central banking services. He received an MPP from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy in 2016.
