Teruhisa Kurita

Mr. Teruhisa Kurita is the Commissioner of the Japanese Financial Services Agency (JFSA).
He started his career in 1987 with the Ministry of Finance, Japan.
Between 2016 and 2018, he worked as the Deputy Director-General of the Supervision Bureau (in charge of the supervision of large banks and insurance companies).
Between 2018 and 2022, he worked as the Director-General of the Supervision Bureau.
Between 2022 and 2023, he woeked as the Director-General of the Strategy Development and Management Bureau.
Since July 2023, he has been in the current position.
