Mr. Muraki joined the Financial Services Agency in 2004 and has worked on various policy areas, including banking supervision/inspection, international financial regulatory reforms and data analysis . He also worked as an economist at IMF (2017-2020) for financial sector surveillance. Currently He works as the Director for the Regional Financial Planning Office at the JFSA, where he is responsible for improving financial intermediation functions of regional banks.
He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo.
