Mr. Nobuyuki Hiratsuka is Deputy Director-General of the Digital Agency, who is responsible for the formulation of international rules in the digital field since last November. He received B.A from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law, master degree from Harvard Law School, and Columbia University. After joining the MITI in 1992, after having varied experience in deputy director, he served as the head of the Corporate Accounting Office, the Manufacturing Policy Office, the chief trade negotiator (WTO), the Rule Formation Strategy Office, and the Corporate Transactions Division of the JFTC. Recently, he became Deputy Director-General for International Projects Promotion.
