DV spent 27 years building a business called Softcell before leaving in 2019 to launch Lentra. Softcell was largely a computer software licence trading business but he oversaw Internet security & Internet managed hosting business units - technology units that were an add-on to achieve customer loyalty + improve margins. The customers were mainly banks and he got a ring-side view of their issues, methods and the time gap between IT projects and business demands became very clear. This insight was the inspiration to begin Lentra & his vision is to transform lending (hence the name LEN TRA) with particular focus on retail + SME assets.
