Mr Ho oversees the work of the HKMA on maintenance of monetary and financial stability, including monetary and currency operations, financial stability surveillance, as well as regulation of stored value facilities and retail payment systems. Mr Ho also oversees the formulation of Hong Kong's regulatory regime for stablecoin issuers.

Mr Ho holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Economics and a Master of Philosophy degree in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before he took up the current position, Mr Ho had worked in various functional areas of the HKMA including banking policy, financial stability surveillance, economic research, monetary operations and market development.
