Takaaki Umada

Takaaki Umada is a director of FoundX, an official startup accelerator program at the University of Tokyo. He has been supporting software developers and startup founders for more than ten years and has expertise in startup support including public affairs and regulatory matters.
After working at Microsoft Japan as a product manager and an evangelist, he joined the University of Tokyo in 2016. At the University of Tokyo, he started and ran Hongo Tech Garage, and he launched FoundX in 2019. He is the author of "Paradoxical Startup Thinking," "Successful Entrepreneurs Choose Where to Stay," and "Implementing the Future.
