He is the President of The First Bank of Toyama. Before joining The First Bank of Toyama, he served at The Bank of Japan from 1987 to 2019, where his last role was Director General of the Personnel and Corporate Affairs Department and Operations Department. He has extended experiences of crisis management, such as resolutions of failed financial institutions after the collapse of Japanese bubble economy, monitoring of the money market after the failure of Lehman Brothers and the management of Fukushima Branch right after Great East Japan earthquake. He achieved a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo.
