After commercializing various internet businesses and developing the Bank of Japan core system, Akahane established a FinTech Team in 2015 to apply blockchain to the social infrastructure. He has been actively working on the commercialization of trade data sharing platforms and digital currencies projects beyond the financial sector. His ultimate goal is to realize an autonomous decentralized society which combines a wide range of technologies and blockchain.
