He worked for a large consulting firm and then co-founded a financial IT venture. In 2008, the company was acquired by SBI and he engaged in multiple projects establishing financial businesses overseas. In 2016, Blockchain Promotion Dept was established and he became its head. In 2019, SBI R3 Japan, which is a joint venture between US firm R3 and SBI, was founded and he became its CEO.
