MAKISHIMA Karen is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet. She was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2012 and represents Kanagawa 17th district.
Born on November 1st, 1976 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduate of International Christian University, M.A. in political management at George Washington University, and Ph.D., Graduate School of International Christian University, in political science and public administration.
Career: Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office, Financial Service Agency, Local Revitalization, and Disaster Prevention, Director, Youth Division, LDP and Chief Secretary, Digital Nation LDP Special Committee.
