MURAI Hideki is a member of the House of Representatives as the representative of the 1st district of Saitama Prefecture, which is his birthplace. Before being appointed as Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary September 2023, he served as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Financial Services Agency, Deputy Chairperson of LDP Diet Affairs Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of LDP, and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister. He graduated from University of Tokyo and Harvard Graduate School. He is 43 years old and a father of 3 children.
