After joining the Nikkei, she worked in the business news and securities news departments before re-locating to New York from 2007 to 2011. While stationed in the US, she covered global companies such as Wal-Mart and Starbucks, as well as the United Nations. At Nikkei CNBC, from 2017 to 2022, she conducted interviews with about 100 top executives of public companies as an anchor of the program "Meet the Top". From 2022, she keeps appearing on BS TV Tokyo, and Nikkei CNBC. She graduated from Kyoto University, and completed a master's degree in International Relations at the Fletcher School of Tufts University, USA.
