Jun Rekimoto (Ph.D. 1996, Tokyo Institute of Technology) is a professor in the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies at The University of Tokyo, and fellow and deputy director of Sony Computer Science Laboratories. His research interests include human-computer interaction, human augmentation, and human-AI-integration. He invented various highly innovative systems, including NaviCam (the world-first mobile AR system), HoloWall, and SmartSkin (the two earliest representations of multi-touch systems). He is a member of the ACM SIGCHI Academy and won numerous research and design awards for his research.
