OKADA Hiroshi has been assigned to the current position since July, 2023. He is in charge of supervision of regional banks as well as deposit insurance and resolution frame work. He joined Ministry of Finance (“MOF”) of JAPAN in 1993 and has held various positions on budget and financial regulations at MOF and JFSA. Between 2018 and 2020, he served as Director of Banking, Payment and Insurance Regulations Division at JFSA. During his tenure of the office, he devoted himself to FinTech promoting regulation reforms especially in the area of payment and neobank.
