George Shishido

George Shishido

Professor, The Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, The University of Tokyo
George Shishido is a professor of law at the Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, The University of Tokyo. He specializes in constitutional law, comparative constitutional law, and informational law. He has published and edit many influential articles and books on freedom of speech, data privacy, secrecy of communication and fundamental rights in Society 5.0. He has served as a chair of research committee of platform service at MIC. He also served as a vice chair of research committee of governance innovation at METI. He received his B.A. from The University of Tokyo and was a visiting scholar at The School of Law, The University of California, Berkeley.
