Hideki Ito

Hideki Ito is Vice Commissioner in charge of overall policy making for the JFSA.
Mr. Ito joined the Ministry of Finance in 1988, where he mainly engaged in formulating the national budget. Since 2007 he has worked mainly for the JFSA, where he has been engaged in a wide range of responsibilities such as market regulation, supervision and monitoring of financial institutions, Executive Secretary to the Minister for Financial Services. He was appointed to his present post in 2020.
Mr. Ito received a B.A. in Law from the University of Tokyo and obtained an MBA at Georgetown University in the US.
