After joining International Digital Communications Inc. (now IDC Frontier Inc.) in April 1994, he later served as Director, then was appointed President and Representative Director of the company in April 2013. In March 2016, he was appointed Executive Vice President and Director of Ikyu Corporation, then Executive Vice President and Representative Director in June 2017, and Chairman and Representative Director in June 2018. In April 2018, he was appointed Corporate Officer of Yahoo Japan Corporation, and in June of the same year, he was appointed President & Representative Director, CEO, Corporate Officer of PayPay Corporation upon the company’s establishment. In November 2020, he was appointed Director of Z Financial Corporation.
