Raul Allikivi is a serial entrepreneur from Estonia and a long-time resident in Tokyo, Japan. As a Co-Founder and CEO of GIG-A, Raul has combined fintech and open banking knowledge from Europe with Japanese regulatory environment and has launched the island nation’s first actual European-style neobank in March 2023. Today in open beta, GIG-A is tackling financial inclusion of underbanked, first focusing on expanding the access to banking services for foreign nationals. Raul has also worked for Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, helped companies with Japan market entry, introduced Estonian e-government technologies and startups to Japanese corporates and he is also importing Japanese craft beer to Europe.
