Nick Vaughan is a specialist in data strategy, engineering, analytics, and modelling. He is currently a Solution Architect in the Bank of England’s CBDC Unit, assessing the case for CBDC and the technology challenges it presents. Nick contributed to the recent Technology Working Paper for a Digital Pound. Nick’s previous roles at the Bank have been Technical Lead for Financial Analytics, Subject Matter Expert for Data analytics & Modelling and Big Data & Infrastructure Architect. He also has experience of working in technology roles in the Telecoms, Retail, Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing industries prior to joining the Bank of England.
